Calibration of acceleration sensors

Manufacturer-independent services according to international standards

Accelerometers are indispensable for measuring vibrations, shocks and movements in safety-critical and industrial applications. Everyday stresses such as strong shocks or changing operating conditions can change their properties and impair measurement accuracy.

Not every company has the capacity to calibrate its measuring equipment internally. SPEKTRA LABS therefore offers a manufacturer-independent service for your acceleration sensors to ensure their functionality and accuracy in the long term. With accredited procedures, individual solutions and short processing times, we ensure that your measuring equipment is always ready for use.

Get reliable support for the calibration and verification of your measuring equipment - uncomplicated, efficient and precisely tailored to your requirements.

Primary calibration

Our primary methods offer maximum precision and are used to calibrate reference standards or internal standards. They are particularly suitable for applications that require maximum accuracy.</p

  • Calibration in accordance with ISO 16063-11:1999, ISO 16063-16:2014 or DKD-R 3-1 Sheet 4:2018
  • Directly traceable measurement results with minimal measurement uncertainty
  • Ideal choice for the validation of new sensors and high-precision applications

Secondary calibration

Secondary calibrations are the best choice for regular checks during operation and after stresses such as impacts or changes in operating conditions.

  • Calibration in accordance with ISO 16063-21:2003 or DKD-R 3-1 Sheet 3:2018
  • Frequency range: 0.1 Hz...20 kHz (DAkkS-accredited)
  • Measuring range: acceleration from 0.01 m/s²...250 m/s²
  • Factory calibration according to manufacturer specifications or individual customer requirements

Areas of application

Measurement technician on a low-frequency vibration exciter with a mounted geophone
Geophones and seismometers are used to monitor structures.
Measurement technician in a test laboratory calibrating HU adapters
Measurement technician assembling a test specimen on a vibration test system
Geophones or seismometer monitor building vibrations.
